Actor Yoo Ah In is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming film Vampire (working title), potentially marking his first new acting project in nearly four years.
According to a report on July 3, Yoo Ah In has been cast as a vampire hunter in director Jang Jae Hyun's new occult film. Lee Sung Min is reportedly in talks to play a priest, while Yoon Kyung Ho is also said to have joined the lineup.
Vampire follows a vampire hunter, a priest, and others whose lives become intertwined as they pursue vampires. The film is also expected to feature several major Russian characters.
However, the film's investor and distributor, NEW, responded cautiously, stating, "Nothing has been confirmed yet. We are currently coordinating with various actors, including those who have been mentioned. We will share more once the cast is finalized."
If confirmed, the project would mark Yoo Ah In's first new role since his hiatus following his 2022 drug-related legal case. Filming is tentatively expected to begin in October.
