A real-life romance has come out of Single's Inferno 3—but it's probably not the couple fans expected.
On July 29, Korean outlet Sports Chosun exclusively reported that former Single's Inferno 3 cast members Lee Gwan Hee and Yoo Si Eun are in a relationship.
The relationship came as a surprise to many fans because Lee Gwan Hee and Yoo Si Eun did not choose each other on Single's Inferno 3. In the finale, Gwan Hee left the island with Choi Hye Seon after one of the season's most talked-about love triangles. Yoo Si Eun, meanwhile, chose Park Min Kyu, and the two also left the show together. Since they ended the series with different partners, few viewers expected Gwan Hee and Si Eun to eventually find love with each other after filming had ended.
According to Sports Chosun, however, the pair remained in contact after the show, their friendship gradually grew closer, and they officially began dating in December 2025.
Shortly after the exclusive report was published, They confirmed the news themselves through a joint statement shared on Instagram.
"Surrounded by the warm support and interest shown by so many of you, we have spent some time getting to know one another quietly. Now we have reached the point where we want to sincerely express our feelings directly to you, so we are introducing ourselves as a couple," they wrote.
The couple also thanked fans for their continued encouragement over the years and asked for warm support as they begin this new chapter together.
Lee Gwan Hee, a professional basketball player in the Korean Basketball League, became one of the most talked-about contestants on Single's Inferno 3 thanks to his outspoken personality and complicated love triangle. Yoo Si Eun, who gained recognition as the runner-up at the 2022 Miss Korea pageant, also attracted a large fanbase through her appearance on the show.
With the relationship now officially confirmed, Lee Gwan Hee and Yoo Si Eun have become one of the rare Single's Inferno couples whose romance began after the cameras stopped rolling—proving that sometimes the real love story starts long after the show ends.
