J.Y. Park, every member of TWICE, and all eight members of Stray Kids have officially been invited to join the Recording Academy, the organization behind the Grammy Awards.

The invitation gives the 18 JYP Entertainment artists the opportunity to become Recording Academy voting members, allowing them to vote for Grammy Award nominees and winners once they accept the invitation.

JYP Executives Also Receive Invitations

Along with the artists, JYP Entertainment CEO Jung Wook and Chief Strategy Officer Shin Hyun-guk were also invited to join the Recording Academy as professional members.

JYP follows other Korean entertainment companies that have joined the Academy in recent years. BTS and HYBE founder Bang Si-hyuk received invitations in 2019, while several HYBE artists and producers joined the 2025 class.

Eligible to Vote for the 2027 Grammy Awards

Artists who accept the invitation will be eligible to vote for the 69th Grammy Awards. Grammy nominations will be announced on November 16, with the awards ceremony scheduled for February 7, 2027.

Recent Global Success

The invitation comes after another successful year for JYP artists. TWICE recently won Best Female K-pop Artist at the 2026 American Music Awards, while Stray Kids became the first act in Billboard 200 history to debut eight consecutive albums at No. 1.

This year, the Recording Academy invited approximately 4,000 artists and music industry professionals worldwide, including Korean American singer-songwriter Ejae, who is known for producing and performing the song "Golden" from Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters.
