TWICE member Sana is reportedly set to make her acting debut after 11 years in the entertainment industry.
According to OSEN on July 8, Sana has accepted an offer to star in the upcoming Korea-Japan co-produced film Nyang-i (working title). If confirmed, the project will mark both her first acting role and her big-screen debut.
The film will reportedly star Japanese actor Sato Takeru alongside Sana in the lead roles. It will be directed by Kwon Hyuk-chan, with production handled by Kokes, NPIO, and Japan's JACON. Filming is scheduled to begin in Japan during the second half of this year.
Sana becomes the latest TWICE member to expand into acting, following fellow members Dahyun and Jeongyeon, who have also taken on acting projects.
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently on its "THIS IS FOR" world tour and will hold the final Seoul concerts at KSPO DOME from July 10 to 12.
