SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan has officially completed his military service and was discharged on June 25, 2026, marking the end of his enlistment period.
He enlisted on September 26, 2024, serving for approximately 21 months through alternative service. With his discharge, Jeonghan becomes the first SEVENTEEN member to successfully fulfill his mandatory military duty.
As of June 2026, three SEVENTEEN members are currently serving in the military: Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi. Meanwhile, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino are expected to begin their mandatory military service in stages throughout late 2026.
Four members are exempt from military service requirements. S.Coups received an exemption due to a previous ACL injury, while Joshua, Jun, and The8 are not subject to South Korea’s mandatory conscription system because of their respective nationalities.
The news of Jeonghan’s discharge quickly spread across social media, with “Welcome Back Jeonghan” and related hashtags trending in multiple countries.
