Park Woo-jin, formerly of Wanna One, is set to star in a new short-form drama.
According to a report by TenAsia on the 19th, he has been cast in Director Han Sang-il's My Love Story That Only I Don't Know. Park Woo-jin will play Seo Gi-tak, a boyfriend who is the only one to have vanished from the memories of the female lead, Yerin.
Seo Gi-tak is timid and clumsy, but wishes for only one person's happiness. He silently stays by the side of his lover, who cannot remember him after an accident. Over time, he reveals his true feelings and wounds. Park Woo-jin is expected to lead the drama's romance with an emotional performance.
This role is his first acting challenge since debuting in the entertainment industry last November with the short-form drama First. My Love Story That Only I Don't Know is his second acting project, released approximately seven months later.
He debuted as a member of Wanna One after finishing in 6th place on Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. Director Han Sang-il, the creator of this new drama, is known for his work on ENA's Directors Arena. The show features a unique interpretation of B-grade sensibilities and rhythmic cut editing tailored for short-form content. A portion of My Love Story That Only I Don't Know will be unveiled on Directors Arena, airing on the 19th at 11 PM.
