History
Debut within the NCT system
NCT 127 launched in July 2016, named after the longitudinal coordinate of Seoul (127°E). Their debut concept leaned into an edgier, more experimental direction than typical SM acts of the time, with production influenced by hip-hop and trap.
International breakthrough
"Regular," "Cherry Bomb," "Kick It," and "Sticker" became some of their biggest global releases, with the group building a substantial following in North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe through world tours and a strong digital presence.
