VCHA is a six-member global girl group formed through the 2023 reality competition series A2K (America2Korea) in collaboration between JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The group is designed to bridge the American and Korean markets from their foundation, with members drawn from an international audition process.

History

A2K formation

VCHA formed through the A2K series, a talent search for a globally-oriented girl group. Six members were selected from hundreds of applicants across the United States. Their debut single "SeVit (White Light)" was released in January 2024, with the group positioning themselves at the intersection of American pop production and K-pop idol structure.

Early career

VCHA performed at the Grammy Awards Museum and appeared at major industry events shortly after debut. Their releases continued through 2024, with the group building a following in both the US and among international K-pop fans interested in English-language idol content.
