GOT7 is a South Korean boy group that debuted under JYP Entertainment in January 2014. Known for their martial arts tricking-inspired choreography, diverse member nationalities, and wide range of musical styles, GOT7 built one of the most globally diverse fanbases in K-pop during their JYP era before departing the label in 2021.
History
JYP era
GOT7 debuted with "Girls Girls Girls" and quickly gained attention for their acrobatic performance style. Releases including "If You Do," "Hard Carry," "Never Ever," and "Lullaby" helped establish them as a consistent domestic and international chart presence across their seven years at JYP.
Label departure and reunion
In 2021, all seven members allowed their JYP contracts to expire and signed with separate agencies. Despite industry expectations, the group did not disband and reunited under the WILD unit label for group releases, with members continuing individual activities. Their reunion release "NANANA" in 2022 demonstrated the group's continued collective identity.
