RIIZE is a South Korean boy group under SM Entertainment, debuting in September 2023. The group represents SM's first new domestic boy group since NCT in 2016 and debuted with a more grounded, approachable image compared to some of the company's previous acts.

History

Debut

RIIZE debuted with "Get A Guitar," a feel-good pop track that became one of the most-streamed K-pop debut songs of 2023. Their debut EP sold over a million copies, making them one of the fastest SM acts to reach that milestone.

Early controversy and growth

Member Seunghan went on hiatus shortly after debut amid controversy, and the group continued promotions as six members. Despite this, RIIZE maintained strong chart performance and fanbase growth through releases including "Memories" and "Love 119."
